The London Dungeon offers free entry for new exes

Divorced couples desperate for an objective court experience can head into the London Dungeon together on the week of ‘Divorce Day’  for free and get the Judge’s verdict by saying ‘your-fault divorce’ to entrance staff.

Known as ‘Divorce Day’,* the first working Monday in January is statistically the most common date for divorce filings following festive stress, so the London Dungeon is offering newly official exes free entry from 6th-10th January to compare the terrors and torment of London’s gruesome past with the trials and tribulations of divorce.

Though the no fault system was introduced to reduce conflict between couples, those who don’t like the new system and feel a need to point the finger can head to the London attraction, known for causing fearful guests to wail for over half a century, and confront their fears, feuds and legal disputes all at once.

Exes driven to despair over the Christmas period can volunteer their ex up for a brutal grilling from the attraction’s Judge within a spine-chilling ambience, guaranteed to have them clinging onto each other for dear life.

Divorce lawyers have been booked and busy since 1533 when our beloved Henry VIII introduced divorces to society. 2024 saw many high-profile celebrities continuing the trend including Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling. While Henry VIII's divorce from Catherine of Aragon took about six years to resolve, these days those celebrating Divorce Day at the Dungeon can be single by summer.

A spokesperson for the London Dungeon said: “After a season of forced cheer and family feuds, we thought, why not help those most in need start the new year with a bang... of our mallet! And what better place to untangle your matrimonial mess than in the eerie depths of the London Dungeon this Divorce Day?”

Those brave enough to enter the London Dungeon, situated on the capital’s South Bank, will uncover unsettling tales of London’s darkest past and come face-to-face with spine-chilling historic characters including Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett.

Book tickets to the London Dungeon online in advance at www.thedungeons.com/london or here to save.

The offer will run for five days only from Monday 6th-Friday 10th January 2025.

One free ticket each for the first 10 couples to say 'your-fault divorce' to admissions team, strictly first-come-first-served.
