The London Dungeon offers free entry to those celebrating their divorce in honour of JLo split
- Wednesday August 21st 2024
In honour of the patron saint of lost love Jennifer Lopez, who has filed for divorce from Hollywood star Ben Affleck on the day of their second wedding anniversary, the London Dungeon is offering free entry for divorcees who are also celebrating their divorce!
Only for today, 21st August, divorcees can compare the trials and tribulations of marriage to the terrors and treachery of London’s past – they might not be that different! Revel in new-found freedom like J.Lo and escape the reality of a terrible ex with a day in the Dungeon's depths.
To be granted entry, just bring your divorce certificate dated 21st August, and you'll be waved in. If you want an added layer of merriment, you can even have one of the gruesome Dungeon characters record a personal message to send to your ex if you'd like to wish them a happy split day, too.
A London Dungeon spokesperson said: “All’s fair in love and war, and like J.Lo, we know there’s no love lost in a good old-fashioned divorce, all thanks to our beloved King Henry VIII whose unfortunate love life was also filled with divorces! If you’re celebrating the anniversary of what once was, make it merry with a day out to the London Dungeon. Make J.Lo proud and honour your split by witnessing the treacherous times of historical London, some may say it’s better than marriage!”
Those brave enough to enter the depths of The London Dungeon can expect to uncover unsettling tales of London’s darkest past and come face-to-face with spine-chilling historic characters including Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett herself.
The offer will run for one day only on Wednesday 21st August 2024.
